Caribbean Cruise
It is possible to go on four or five different Caribbean cruises and not repeat a single island once. The Islands in the Caribbean are closer together then most, making it possible to visit more nation islands than most cruises. Despite what some may think, each island in the Caribbean offers something different and unique to that island.
In a one-week Caribbean cruise, you generally chose between Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean islands. The eastern Caribbean is the most common choice for first-time cruisers and those that like more at-sea days. The most common ports of call include St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan, and often the cruise line’s private island.
Western Caribbean cruises are best for those who love snorkeling and scuba diving. Common ports of call include Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Key West, and Cozumel. The Southern Caribbean offers more choices for island destinations. Common Ports of call include, Aruba, Barbados, Antiqua, Grenada, St. Barths, and several others.
Shorter Caribbean cruises will usually cover the Bahamas and Key West. The weather is almost always perfect in January and February, making that the best time to go. The worst time to go is from mid-June to December, the hurricane-threat period.
