World Cruise

When embarking on a world cruise, you can plan on visiting around 40 ports of call, 27 different nations, and six continents. You will most likely visit the French Polynesia, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, glaciers in New Zealand, Bangkok, Hong Kong, China, Singapore. You could see the TajMahal, travel through the Mediterranean and visit Spain and Italy and even see the beauties of Antarctica. Typically they have a one to three month duration, depending on how many stops are taken.

On a world cruise you will tour the world in luxury and see the amazing sights of the world, but it doesn’t come cheap. Typically prices range from $20,000 to $60,000 per person, dependent upon the cruise line, how long the trip lasts, how many stops and what class of cabin you choose to stay in. Most of the cruise lines that offer a cruise around the world are the luxury liners, such as Cunnard, Crystal Cruises, Holland America, Regent Seven Seas, and Silversea Cruises.

Entertainment on a world cruise is sufficient to keep you from boredom while on your long voyage. Usually the entertainment is more sophisticated, such as black tie galas, themed balls and parties. They typical passenger on these cruises is in their mid 60’s and has acquired a high level of wealth.

If you want to see the world on a ship, but don’t quite have the money to cover the entire fare, there are several other options. You can sometimes pick a portion of the itinerary and jump on board for one to two weeks. You can also search for deals on the inner cabins that don’t appeal to the typical very wealthy world cruise passenger.
